I started Grounded & Growing as a quiet, anonymous space during a time when I felt like life had just pummeled me. Hit after hit after hit. These weren't small inconveniences - they were the kinds of things that felt impossible. It was everything all at once, with no time to catch my breath in between.
As I began sharing thoughts on Grounded & Growing, I realized so many of us carry impossible stories. And the real magic? We're all showing up the best we can in our everyday lives, with what we know, and consistently growing. People are feeling seen, encouraging each other, laughing a bit, and sharing pieces of themselves... to the tune of 333 million views in 2025.
You see, this space was never about me. I have remained faceless for 13 years as this community has grown. And, in all honestly partly for selfish reasons, I'm quite private. Okay, okay! Very private. But, Grounded & Growing is about so much more. It's always been about our humanness... about the impossible things and the way we stand toe to toe with those impossible things. The way we find strength and joy in the middle of them. The way we show up for others with a kind of compassion that only comes from having lived through them. It's about how we can be healed in so many ways, and still have so much growing ahead of us. Because the truth is, those impossible things don't stop coming and the way we grow through them won't stop either.
What started as a personal outlet has grown into a community that constantly amazes me. Grounded & Growing exists because of everyone who shows up with honesty, care, and perspective - and it still blows me away.
